Since a number of our wedding guests will be flying in from out of state, we wanted to give you a little bit of information on transportation in the area. The Fort Wayne International Airport is on the smaller side, but American, Delta, and United all fly into that airport. While it may be a little more expensive to fly into the Fort Wayne airport directly, renting a car won't be necessary (unless you want to!). The First Presbyterian Church and the Hilton are 3 blocks apart, and the reception hall (The Freemason Hall) is one block from the Hilton. The reception hall and the Hilton also share a parking structure. The Courtyard by Marriott is 3 blocks from the reception hall and 6 blocks from the church. Both hotels offer free shuttles to and from the airport; they suggest calling a few days ahead with your flight information so they'll know when to expect you.
If you're looking for cheaper flights, Air Tran and other discount airlines fly into the Indianapolis International Airport. Fort Wayne is two hours north of Indianapolis via I-69, so renting a car in Indianapolis will be a necessity. It's an easy drive, though, and a perfect way to tour the Indiana countryside if you'd like to take a side trip to Amish country.
If you're trying to make travel arrangements and you're not sure what to do, just call Theo or Amber. We're happy to answer any questions you might have.
